Although we have been in spring for the past few weeks with our beautiful weather, it seems more official now that we have gone through Easter! This year was Aubrey's first one and she celebrated with another meltdown at our Easter gathering. For some reason, Aubrey gets very over stimulated after about an hour. It happens almost to the minute at any function I take her to that has more than a handful of people there. She just can't take it and has to have a good cry. Other than that, she did great!

Thanks to Aunt Coni we had a beautiful Easter Garden celebration in her yard with 27 family members! It was all around, good fun, good friends and good food. Connor has a blast playing with the other kids...just basically ran all over all day long in typical Connor fashion. We tried to get him into the Easter Egg hunt but he was too interested in the all his cars and the car mat and didn't seem to care. Then it was the Easter Egg Hunt for us big kids.....97 eggs and $100.00 up for grabs. This year, thanks to Christine Keele, a trophy was also part of the winnings. I am proud to say that John and I took the honors of winning the competition this year. We had the most eggs combined and the most money! Each egg usually has 1.00 in it so the Clendenins came home with about 32.00. All in all a good year for us. The trophy is currently with us and we plan to bring it back next year for the next race.

Connor was just staring at us when we were racing all over the yard. I think next year he will be at the perfect age to really get what is going on. I think it will help if we have our own little private egg hunt for him and Aubrey at home.

Aubrey is still somewhat crawling, well only when she really, really, really wants to. She just doesn't feel the need, but I have seen her do it numerous times. I wonder if the hardwoods hurts her knees! Oh well, she was started trying to pull herself up on the table now. She also gets into squatting position on the floor. She is getting close to just wanting to get up and go!

John has been getting busier at work, which is great job security but it makes me sad since I was getting so used to him being home nice and early! The kids loved it too!

Other than that, not too much else going on around here. We are just getting ready for a few little trips in the next few months. I am heading to Vegas for my friend Shana's bachelorette party and John will be flying solo with the kiddos! Then we head up to Seattle at the end of the month for a week for Shana's wedding in Snohomish. We will be spending the first half of the week at our house at Sandy Point and the second half with John's family.

We are getting very excited to spend the full month of August up at Sandy Point. John will work remotely from home and we will all get to spend some quality time with both families. It is a 14 hour drive up to Bellingham from here, so we are hoping it all goes well!
