Officially A Big Boy!

This post is mostly about Connor but I had to post one of Logan sleeping...and yes he is swaddled in a flower blanket. I got it for Aubrey and it is the biggest and best blanket for swaddling...he will never know there were flowers on it. He was asleep until my flash went off and woke him up. :(

Aubrey is a little copy cat and has to do everything with her big brother.

Well, this weekend marked a momentous occasion around the Clendenin house! Connor is officially a big boy. Ever since he was a baby Connor had a love for Pacifiers...in fact all of my children do including Logan. They get really attached to them and have to have them to fall asleep. We got both Connor and Aubrey down to just taking naps and sleeping with them at night, but just this weekend, Connor found the one he was using was broken and he threw it in the garbage. I don't really think he knew what he was getting himself into. When it came to go to take a nap, he couldn't fall asleep so along with no pacifier came no napping. He is around the age to stop napping anyway, so it wasn't a big deal.

Night time came around and I was expecting a huge meltdown and multiple getting out of beds to come and see us. Well, he was so exhausted from not napping that he mentioned his pacifier once then was asleep 15 minutes after we put him down. I was shocked to say the least. The next day, the same thing....we have gone through 3 nights of no pacifier now. I am so happy it wasn't as difficult as I anticipated. We always told Connor that if he gave up is pacifier we would get him a scooter....so yesterday we went to Toys R Us and bought him his Cars Scooter. Here is a picture of him with this scooter. We are so proud of him!!

Last night was a bit of a relapse he was so tired from not napping the past few days that he had a bit of a fit for his pacifiers he even got so far as to tell us to take back the scooter and get him a pacifier! In the end, he fell asleep and all is good.

Now we have to work on Aubrey...Potty training! She was doing so well right before the baby came and now she has kind of stopped. If we push her to go, she won't do it, so for now we wait until she is ready.
